Nominations for Favorite CVA Athletes

Who’s your favorite CVA athlete? Can you remember back that far? If you can, please add your thoughts in a comment to this post.
WordPress has enabled polling on blogs now, so when I have a few nominations, I will try it out. Please be sure to include their sport and the year they graduated from CVA.
You can, obviously, make male and female nominations.
Some that come to mind: Mike Wheeler and Steve Willingham from the 1970s, Brett Strickland and Tad Niblett from the 1980s, Brandon Nix and Zac Taylor from the 2000s.

Mike, tremendous list of athletes thus far….but without question, don’t overlook Eric Davis as THE all around athlete. Regardless of the sport, he was a gifted leader and often set the pace. As for the females – Kim Richey Johnson, hands down!

Patrick (Buck) Vick has to be at the top. He was great in basketball and baseball. He was an awesome competitor and always kept a cool head.

Has to be Steve Willingham for me. Loved to watch him as quarterback.
