Excerpts from MTSU Q&A with Brandon Nix:

You are very versatile along the offensive line, seeing time at both guard spots and working at center. Talk about your versatility and what you attribute to being able to play multiple positions.

The hardest thing about switching from a guard to a center is getting the snaps right. The plays you can pretty much mirror yourself from what everyone else is doing. The hardest thing to do is working on the snaps. I feel that fall practice will help me get into a rhythm with Joe (Craddock).

The team lost three valuable starters in the offensive line from last season. What are your expectations from the new starters this season?

Nix broke his snapping hand, so he will move from center to right guard on Thursday. Bortner could also miss about two weeks.
